Sophie Kasaei’s boyfriend put her Christmas gift to him on eBay.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star splashed out on an expensive Apple watch for Joel Korry – who she has been dating for five years – in 2015 and though he claimed to like the present when he unwrapped it, she later discovered he had sold it just a few weeks later.
She said: "Last year I got him an Apple watch. He pretended he loved it and then two weeks later I found out he’d put it on eBay – and kept the money."
Joel laughed: "I did try it out though."
But Sophie won’t be selling her own gifts as revenge – because Joel never buys her any.
She said in a recent interview: "Joel doesn’t really buy us presents. He just likes to spend money on holidays.
"I always want a handbag but Joel would rather…"
Joel finished:"… Take her to Turkey and get her a fake one."
This year, Sophie felt torn over what to do about Christmas because she feels uncomfortable choosing between her divorced parents.
She previously explained: "It’s two years down the line now so it’s a lot better but Christmas is coming up and that gets us down.
"I don’t know what to do. I know my dad will be fine because he has three restaurants so he’ll always be busy.
"But my mum is stuck in a little council house with hardly any money."
But spending the day with Joel, who lives in London, wasn’t an option.
She said: "He can’t [spend it with me] because we’re so far away from each other."
Joel added: "We like to go away in January though. Hopefully, it’ll be Mexico."
