Ore Oduba was the third wheel between wife and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner

Ore Oduba played the "third wheel" between his wife Portia and his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dance partner Joanne Clifton while he was competing on the show.
The 30-year-old sports presenter – who married the blonde beauty last year – couldn’t believe how well his spouse got on with his coach and regularly found them texting each other and meeting up for dinner behind his back during his time on the series.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (23.12.16), the dark-haired hunk – who was crowned the winner of the recently-finished series last week – said: "I was the third wheel. There was actually a real lovely moment towards the end of the series when Portia actually came to join Jo and I after a session and we went into town and it sweeps you up. I hadn’t had a chance to do anything work-wise, so I had a boring life, and I was on my phone for a bit and I looked up and Portia and Jo were about 100 yards down the road just yapping, yapping away."
And Ore believes he is "lucky" he shared a strong friendship with Joanne, and the "most incredible" people in his life have bonded too.
He explained: "It struck me at that moment, how lucky am I to have two people so supportive and two of the most incredible women that I know get on, because it’s one thing to get your dance partner and get on with her, and for her to get on with the closest person in your life."
Although the trio enjoyed each other’s company, Portia has revealed she was worried her marriage could be in jeopardy when her partner signed up to compete on the popular BBC programme.
The blonde beauty said: "Going into it, it is at the back of your mind because it’s something that always crops up every year.
"We hadn’t spend much time together at all, we got married in November, then Ore’s had a busy summer of sport and then this came in off the back of it, and I was like ‘OK, I’ll see you soon.’"
However, Portia has admitted all her concerns about her relationship vanished when she met the blonde beauty.
She said: "But as soon as I met Jo, the part when they get paired, I just thought ‘Wow’. She was amazing. And your partner makes your whole experience, it can make it, it can break it. But we were so lucky it made it for us.
"We [Portia and Joanne] were going out for dinner, we were texting."
