Trishna Thakrar is fired from Apprentice

Trishna Thakrar has been fired from ‘The Apprentice’.
The 28-year-old recruitment agent has become the latest contestant to get the boot from the competition after her strong opinion and lack of communication with others lead her team to failure in the gin-making challenge in Thursday’s (08.12.16) show.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "I’m gutted. I’m gutted to have got so close to the final and just miss out but I’m pleased I got to week 10 but when you get so close, it is hard to take. The further you go, the more you want the investment."
Trishna and her team mates Grainne McCoy and Frances Bishop – were were on Titans – started off the task on the right foot as creative ideas began to float around the meeting room before the Irish make-up artist and the brunette businesswoman whizzed off to the distillery to work on the flavours of their alcoholic beverage.
Trishna had her heart set on a gin that was brown-orange coloured – something that was frowned upon by the professionals – and refused to change it, despite Frances and Grainne telling her that they would prefer to keep their beverage clear.
Frances, on the other hand, was busy coming up with a name for their brand and the art work for the bottle’s sticker but she was left fuming when she rung her team to find out the drink’s ingredients to put on the label and they failed to answer her 19 calls.
Little did she know, Trishna and Grainne were actually knocking back different types of gins to the point they no longer knew what they were doing or trying to say.
The following day, Trishna rocked up with a slight hangover and messed up the pitch to a major retailer by banging and clattering the bottles under the table.
Despite the awkward speech, Frances and Trishna still managed to bag a sale worth £5,280 but unfortunately their second and third pitch ended up going down the drain.
Once in the boardroom, it was quite clear Nebula – comprised of Jessica Cunningham, Courtney Wood and Alana Spencer – had won the challenge with £71,400 in sales.
As things heated up in the boardroom, blame was thrown around before Lord Sugar – who will give the winner a £250,000 investment to help get their business off the ground – lifted his finger and axed Trishna from the competition because of her error in colouring the gin brown and for losing her temper at her team mates.
He said: "Trishna, the failure of this task had a lot to do with the colour, and that was down to you, and so it is with regret that Trishna, you’re fired!"
