Brendan Cole for Strictly Come Dancing judge?

Brendan Cole wants to become head judge on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 40-year-old professional dancer has decided not to apply for the role following news veteran panellist Len Goodman – who has been on the show since 2004 – is stepping down, but he wouldn’t turn down the part if he was asked by bosses.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, he said: "I would love it. You’d have to do it, it’s amazing. I’m not going for the job, but I would love the job. Len is irreplaceable. Whoever does take the role has to make it their own."
Although he hasn’t put himself forward for it, the hunky star – who was partnered with pop star Anastacia in this year’s show – has believes being a judge would be much "easier" than being a dancer because there’s so much scrutiny on the dance floor.
Asked which is easiest, he said: "Judge, any day. With dancing there is so much responsibility on your shoulders to make it right for your partner for yourself, a different routine every week. It’s more the mental side of things you’ve got to coax them through. I felt it very easy to be honest and I know what I’m talking about."
With Brendan ruling himself out of applying for the role that means there is hope for Anton Du Beke and Karen Hardy, who previously said they’d be interested.
And, although former head judge Arlene Phillips was rumoured to be returning, she recently revealed she hasn’t been approached by the BBC ballroom bosses.
The 73-year-old choreographer – who sat on the panel for four years before she was replaced by Alesha Dixon – said: "The BBC will make their decision and whatever they decide, I’m sure it’s going to be great. Other than doing other various different things with the BBC, I haven’t actually spoken with the BBC. Obviously I’m in touch with the professionals but beyond yet, no nothing has been said."
