Danny Dyer to stay in EastEnders for another year?

Danny Dyer is set to stay on ‘EastEnders’ for at least another year.
The 39-year-old actor – who is known for playing pub landlord Mick Carter in the long-running soap – is in negotiations with bosses of the BBC One show about staying on the programme until May 2018.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "It’s a little while off, but of course these things are planned a fair way in advance because of the way the show is filmed. Danny is so popular it’s a no-brainer.
"He’s very much in the plan for the show going forwards and he’s said himself how much he enjoys it. It’s been a great casting so far and everyone wants it to continue – especially the fans."
The hunk reportedly earnt £400,000 on the soap last year but it’s not yet known whether bosses are planning to increase that this year.
And providing the price is right, there should be no reason why Danny won’t agree to extend his contract as he recently admitted that he’d continue to be in the programme all the time his alter ego Mick is in charge of Albert Square’s fictional boozer, The Queen Victoria.
The handsome star joined the cast in 2013, along with his on-screen wife Kellie Bright, who plays the matriarch Linda Carter, and they have both proved a huge hit with viewers over the past three years.
And his talent hasn’t gone unnoticed at television events either as he won a National Television Award for Serial Drama Performance earlier this year but unfortunately missed out on the Best actor prize – despite being nominated – at the British Soap Awards.
