Dua Lipa and Anne-Marie make BRITs 2017 Critics’ Choice Award

Dua Lipa, Anne-Marie and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man have been shortlisted for the BRITs 2017 Critics’ Choice Award.
The ‘Blow Your Mind (Mwah)’ hitmaker is thrilled with the news and says just being nominated is the "highlight" of her year and is "huge dream" for her.
She said: "I couldn’t believe it when I got the news. So honoured and grateful to be nominated for the Critics’ Choice Award. This the highlight of my year.
"I’ve said so many time, that I’ve hit a lot of milestones this year from performing at Glastonbury, to doing my own European tour, never doing the same thing two days in a row and going to places I’ve never been before. Truly living my dream, this is the icing n the cake.
"A huge dream of mine! Thank you for all the love and support from the bottom of my heart this means the world to me. Thank you!"
Anne-Marie, who is currently riding on the success of her number one collaboration with Clean Bandit and Sean Paul, ‘Rockabye’, is still in shock that she has been selected for the prestigious accolade that has previously been won by Adele, Sam Smith and Jessie J and was last year awarded to Jack Garratt.
She said: "I still can’t actually believe I am nominated for this amazing award.
"This is so sick. To everyone who voted for me I am so grateful and humbled, here’s to 2017."
And ‘Human’ hitmaker Rag ‘n’ Bone Man said it’s absolutely "bonkers", but deserved because he has been working hard.
He said: "It’s bonkers that I’ve been nominated for Critics’ Choice.
"Absolutely bonkers, I’ve been grafting.
"I built a strong fan base over the years with help from good people that put their faith in me. And now this! I’m very grateful."
The main nominations will be announced live on ITV on January 14 with Craig David, Olly Murs and Christine and the Queens performing.
The BRIT Awards 2017 take place at London’s The O2 on February 22.
