Mandy Moore feels like a 60 year old woman.
The ‘A Walk To Remember’ star may only be 32-years-old but she is excited to get older and will welcome it with open arms.
She said: "I feel like I’m a 62-year-old in a 32-year-old’s body. Oh god, I was just a clueless suburban mall teenager from Orlando [when I was 15]. You couldn’t pay me to go back.
"I’m totally ready [to age]. I can’t wait until the day when watching ’60 Minutes’ is perfectly acceptable for my age. The aging process: I say bring it on."
And the brunette beauty insists she doesn’t feel pressured to have a "traditional" family as she believes her own familial unit is anything but traditional.
She added: "My family is the least traditional. I’ve never really talked about this but my parents are divorced. My mother left my father for a woman. And both of my two brothers are gay.
"My parents loved each other; they did an incredible job raising all of us. [I thought I could create my] own kind of normalcy [by getting married] but then I learned that that wasn’t going to be the fruitful experience I wanted it to be.
"[Now my family is] exactly where they should be. Everyone’s so much happier, richer, and more fulfilled, being their authentic selves."
And Mandy – who is happily dating musician Taylor Goldsmith – has revealed her boyfriend has been encouraging her to get into a vitamin routine.
She added to Byrdie: "I always said that I want to take care of myself to the best of my ability before I venture into that phase of my life. I’m trying to get better. My boyfriend is really good about vitamins, and just this morning I made a pact to start a vitamin routine.
"Everything in moderation, including moderation. I guess that’s my philosophy. I like to take care of myself, and I’m open to new ways of doing that. I love hiking, anything that keeps me outdoors. I’m also the type of person who does better in a class situation because at least there’s some accountability. I’ll cycle or I’ll do a Barry’s [Bootcamp]."
