Ryan Reynolds claims Green Lantern made him ‘un-hireable’

Ryan Reynolds thinks he was "un-hireable" after starring in ‘Green Lantern’.
The 40-year-old actor appeared in the much-maligned comic book movie in 2011 and has admitted it marked a low point in his career.
He quipped: "I represented the death of the superhero for a while."
Despite the setback of ‘Green Lantern’, Ryan pursued his long-term ambition of making a ‘Deadpool’ movie – which was well received by fans and critics when it was released earlier this year.
He told Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’ series: "’Deadpool’ was one of those things that was just so specific – it was like this weird superhero anarchy that I loved so much.
"I think I was in the superhero suit more in the marketing materials than I was in the actual film. Which is why I stole the suit at the end of production and just brought it home with me."
Meanwhile, Ryan – who is currently in the process of making a ‘Deadpool’ sequel – also revealed he unsuccessfully auditioned for the Coen brothers for the their drama movie ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’.
Ryan gave the audition his all but did not manage to convince the iconic filmmakers of his suitability for the role.
He said: "I auditioned and failed for the Coen brothers. ‘Hail, Caesar!’ was it? No, it was the one before that. It wasn’t the right fit, mostly because they’re very high class.
"They were just quietly shaking their heads, like, ‘What are you doing here? Do you have a SAG card?’"
