Busted want fans to make love their music

Busted want their fans to make love to their music.
The reunited electronic pop trio – comprised of Charlie Simpson, James Bourne and Matt Willis – hope their fans will be able to form special memories from listening to their comeback album ‘Night Driver’ and insist they aren’t bothered if it doesn’t top the charts.
Guitarist James told the Daily Star newspaper: "I want people to have moments to our music. I want people have children to our music."
And bassist Matt added: "Yes, they’ll be like, ‘Timothy here was conceived to your album!’"
On not wanting chart success, Charlie said: "Look if we were doing this for charts we wouldn’t release on Black Friday, it’s the most competitive week.
"We’d release on the second or third week in January when it’s basically guaranteed."
The ‘Easy’ hitmakers previously admitted they would not be back together if they were to make an album like their self-titled debut LP and 2003’s ‘A Present for Everyone’.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Matt said: "I think we would all hate it. Don’t get me wrong we love the old stuff. We look back on it fondly, but that was then. That was a part in our lives when that made sense for us to do that."
Frontman Charlie, 31, added: "I think what people have to bare in mind is, if people thought we were going to come back with the same record we did 10 years ago, this would have never of happened.
"We broke up because we weren’t all on the same page musically anymore.
"It would have been strange at this stage to go, ‘You know what let’s make another record like 10 years ago.’"
And on whether they care about what their original fans think of their new sound, Charlie said he’s not going to lose sleep because they find it "hard" to get used to it.
He said: "I care about it, but I’m not going to let it worry us if people find it hard to adjust. At the end of the day we can’t really live our lives in the shadow of what people think."
‘Night Driver’ is out now.
