Katy Perry and Orlando Boom have split.
The ‘Firework’ hitmaker and the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor have reportedly gone their separate ways after 10 months of dating, with both appearing to agree that a break up would be the best thing for them.
A source told In Touch magazine: "Not long after Halloween, Orlando confessed to pals that he’d decided to end their relationship. He claimed that he’s just not ready to get married and have babies."
But another insider added: "She said they were on different life paths and as much as she likes him, it’s time to move on."
Last month, the 39-year-old actor wasn’t with Katy on her 32nd birthday, but reportedly "buried" her in flowers to make up for the fact he was away shooting his next movie ‘Smart Chase: Fire & Earth’.
A source said: "Orlando buried Katy in flowers on her birthday and felt horrible he could not be there for her birthday.
"He has been super busy on set of his new movie in China and while things have cooled off a bit between the two, they still Facetime and text regularly. Katy still considers him her prince and she was blown away by the surprise flowers he sent from halfway around the world."
He did manage to attend Katy’s birthday party though, where revellers dressed up as Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley.
The raven-haired beauty shared a number of photos of the night on her social media accounts, including one of Orlando playing basketball in bright red shorts and a matching sweatshirt.
The actor has five-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, while Katy was previously married to Russell Brand for two years, and went on to date John Mayer on and off from 2012 to 2015.
