Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop recommends $150k gift

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Holiday Gift Guide features the record collection of the late Dennis Hopper for $150,000.
The 44-year-old actress has published the present buying guide on her lifestyle website, and some of the items buyers can purchase for their loved ones carry staggering price tags.
Goop separates the items into categories depending on the person the gift is for, and shoppers can look in categories such as ‘hosts’, ‘travellers’, ‘health nuts’, ‘under-18’, ‘thinkers’, and ‘cooks’.
One category, named ‘The Ridiculous but Awesome Gift Guide’, offers over-the-top suggestions for people with the cash to splash on the nearest and dearest this Christmas.
The personal record collection of Dennis Hopper – who passed away in 2010 from prostate cancer – has been made available by his daughter Marin Hopper and is comprised of over 100 vinyl LPs made by artists such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Miles Davis,
A portion of the sale price will be donated to The Future Heritage Fund, which was founded in partnership with the New Mexico Community Foundation (NMCF) to support a range of cultural and artistic non-profit organizations in New Mexico.
As well as the unique batch of Hopper’s albums wealthy shoppers can also get their hands on a leather bicycle for $3,000, a vase designed by Jeff Koons with a price tag of $5,000, and a brass menorah that will set the buyer back $2,500.
Meanwhile, Goop is also offering a wide variety of more reasonably priced items to cater for all types of people.
A section for ‘The Health Nut’ contains items such as a $50 gym bag, a $150 "health freak beauty kit", a $15 skin brush, and a $35 yoga mat made out of recycled wetsuits.
For the traveller in the family, shoppers can purchase items like a $220 neck pillow, a $30 iPad case, $200 earphones, or a $43 shower cap.
Gwyneth’s website even caters for children, with a section dedicated to gift ideas for under 18s. Items here include $156 hoodie with rabbit ears on the hood, a $49 child’s apron set, washable colouring pens for $16, a series of animal onesies priced at $60 each, and ‘Star Wars’ socks for $16 a pair.
