Samuel Boateng is launching recruitment app

‘The Apprentice’s Samuel Boateng is launching a recruitment app next year.
The 28-year-old car sales manager may have been given the boot by tycoon Lord Sugar in Thursday (17.11.16) night’s episode, but he’s not letting his departure from the reality TV show stop his plans in making his mark in business as he’s hoping to secure an investor and drop his new mobile software in 2017 to help other people get jobs.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I’m actually in discussions with investors now about my app, which will launch in 2017, so it’s actually worked out really well. Hopefully the app will launch, it revolves around online recruitment, just trying to make recruitment more easy. It’s more engaging. It’s going to be a great app."
And, although he has been working on the app for two years, Samuel’s wife encouraged him to go on the show as she felt he needed to do something more.
He explained: "When the show came up, I thought it would be a great platform and from that, I would get great exposure, which is what you need in business. You need people to know and trust you to move forward. I feel, personally, I came across really well.
"It was actually my wife you encouraged to do the show because she felt that I needed to take that step and do something more public. I’ve had that idea since 2014 so I’ve been working on it but I think things weren’t going as planned so I felt there’s no harm in going on the show and hopefully things will pick up. For the app, we need an investor because there’s a lot of money required to get things up and running but it will make money. It’s down to us to pick the right investor."
