Martine McCutcheon: I’ll keep some secrets from Loose Women

Martine McCutcheon is going to keep some of her secrets to herself when she’s on ‘Loose Women’.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star is a regular on the panel of the ITV daytime show and has talked about her ex-boyfriends, her sex life, her dysfunctional relationship with her abusive father Thomas Hemmings and medical battle with ME – also known as chronic fatigue syndrome.
Although Martine loves the fact that the programme gives her "a voice" and she is always honest during her chats with the other girls she won’t share everything with her co-stars and the viewers at home because she needs to keep some things to herself.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at an event to launch the home DVD and download release of ‘The Secret Life of Pets’, she said: "They’ve got different ‘Loose Women’ for different topics and I think they know I’ll talk as honestly as I can within reason. I love the show because it gives you a voice but I’m not the sort of person who they’re going to get loads of sensational and juicy stuff from. I think I’m just me on the show and I’m as honest as I can be, but there’s always a little something that you think no I won’t say that it’s just for me."
Martine thinks her family are being extra nice to her since she started appearing on ‘Loose Women’ every week because they’re worried about what she might spill on the live TV show which also features Ruth Langsford, Katie Price and Coleen Nolan.
The actress-and-singer – who is married to singer Jack McManus, with whom she has 21-month-old son Rafferty – quipped: "My family are all being very nice to me at the moment, maybe it’s because they’re worried what I’m going to say!"
Martine, 40, is also grateful to the producers on the programme who are willing to accommodate her appearances around her other work, which include shooting a new movie ‘The Bromley Boys’ with Alan Davies.
She said: "They’re just so accommodating and know it’s not my only job. I’ve been making a film with Alan Davies called ‘The Bromley Boys’ which is out next summer. I’ve wrapped, the rest are still going but they’re nearly finished. It’s a lovely story, about a young boy who falls in love with a really rubbish football club. It’s not about the football much is about the people he meets and what it represents in his life. It’s a lovely story, it’s a really good British independent film."
‘The Secret Life of Pets’ is out now on Digital Download, Blu-ray and DVD, courtesy of Universal Pictures.
