Honey G’s unique performance for X Factor’s disco week

Honey G put her unique spin on a disco classic on ‘The X Factor’ on Saturday evening (12.11.16).
The controversial contestant performed an unusual rendition of The Bee Gees’ hit ‘Stayin’ Alive’, complete with her infamous rap and earned a standing ovation from the judges.
Nicole Scherzinger admitted Honey was her "guilty pleasure", comparing her to a banoffee pie.
She said: "I am scared of you because you’re actually getting better and better each week. Simon has said it before but now you’re my guilty pleasure."
Whilst Simon Cowell added: "I don’t think I would have actually sang or rapped the ‘Stayin’ Alive’ part.
"But no matter what the theme or the song is, you always give it 100 per cent. You’re the most unique person I’ve ever had on any of these shows."
Meanwhile, the performances from Simon’s girls – Sam Lavery and Emily Middlemas – caused a row to erupt between the judges as the three of them sided against Simon.
Critiquing Emily’s performance of ‘Wishing On A Star’, Louis said: "I didn’t think it was good enough and I blame Simon."
Whilst Nicole added: "You did a great job but I have to blame this on Simon because the production just swallowed you up."
After being told to shut up by Simon, Louis stood up to make his point and argued that the music mogul was "playing it safe".
However, Simon urged his act to just ignore the others’ comments, telling her: "Emily, forget what they said. You can just be an entertainer and you can sing songs or you can make yourself an artist. What else do you want her to do, cartwheels, Louis?"
But he was in for a shock when Emily agreed with the other judges and told him she wants to do "something more upbeat and show her personality".
And Sam was criticised for her slowed down rendition of ‘I Will Survive’ with Sharon admitting she would have liked to see another side to Sam.
She told the talent hopeful: "You sang it well. I do want to see another side of you. I want to see you using the stage. You were sassy with the song but I want to see another side of you."
Elsewhere, Saara Aalto opened the show with a stunning rendition of ‘No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)’.
The ‘X Factor’ continues on Sunday evening (13.11.16) on ITV.
