Adam Lambert dismayed by Donald Trump’s election win

Adam Lambert says the new American President Donald Trump appealed to people who are the "very opposite" to the individuals he respects in life.
The 34-year-old singer – who tours with Queen – was and open and proud supporter if Democrat candidate Hilary Clinton and he, like many US voters, is dismayed that the former ‘Apprentice’ host has made it to the White House.
In an interview with News.com.au, he said: "Oh lord, it’s a mess. I’m not really super-educated in terms of politics but I watched the majority of the debates and it was just so obvious to me that she was the person I would rather represent my country to my country and to the rest of the world.
"What she said made sense, she was a clear communicator, she has experience, all that stuff. Any time he [Trump] spoke I just thought he didn’t make any sense. I didn’t even understand what he was saying! I think he appealed to a certain type of person that is very opposite to the type of people that I know and respect."
Adam will be relying on the votes of Australian TV viewers when ‘The X Factor Australia’ airs on Sunday night (13.11.16) on Channel Seven.
The ‘American Idol’ runner-up has two acts, Isaiah Firebrace and Amalia, left in the race to win the talent show and he would love one of them to win which means he will have beaten his fellow judges Iggy Azalea, Mel B and Guy Sebastian.
Adam insists there is a "healthy sibling rivalry" both in front of the cameras and behind the scenes between all the judges which is good for the programme.
The ‘Ghost Town’ hitmaker said: "It’s almost like a sibling rivalry, there’s healthy competition between all four of us.
"We tease each other so much backstage and it’s funny. We try to mess with each other in all ways. We make little digs on camera and backstage and I think we all get that this is a great, fun competition."
