Phil Collins to headline BST in Hyde Park 2017

Phil Collins is to headline Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park in 2017.
The ‘Against All Odds’ hitmaker will host his own day in the Royal Park on June 30, in what will be his only UK and European festival performance of 2017.
It comes after the 65-year-old star announced he was coming out of retirement to go on his ‘Not Dead Yet: Live 2017 Tour’, which kicks off with a five day residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall from June 4 to June 9.
He said: "The reaction from the British public has been overwhelming. I can’t wait to play Hyde Park and see everyone there."
And fans could be in for a treat as the music legend has vowed to perform the drums at least once while he’s on the road, despite suffering from crippling back pain, and he’s hoping he will pick up the sticks for his biggest hit ‘In The Air Tonight’.
He recently said: . I’m going to do something and hopefully be playing that.
"And I am going to apply myself to do something and hopefully be playing that particular thing (‘In The Air Tonight’) with my son Nick, who is playing drums on the tour."
The former Genesis star joins previously announced headliners Green Day, who will head up the Great Oak Stage on July 1.
A line up of special guests who will support Phil is expected to be announced shortly.
Tickets for Phil’s headline show go on general sale on Friday November 11.
