Harry Hill: TV Burp should return with guest presenters

Harry Hill thinks ‘TV Burp’ should return with guest presenters.
The 52-year-old comedian hosted the madcap ITV show from 2001 to 2012 which saw him rate the past week’s television, recreate scenes in comic sketches and entertain celebrity guests.
Harry isn’t interested in returning to the much-loved programme but he would be happy to see it come back with different presenters.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s annual Collars & Coats Gala Ball in London on Thursday night (03.11.16), Harry spilled: "I wouldn’t do ‘TV Burp’ again. But I think they should bring it back with someone else. Someone mad enough to do it! Maybe guest presenters…"
Harry is fully focused on his latest series ‘Harry Hill’s Tea Time’, a surreal mash-up of a cooking programme and a chat show.
So far, Harry has had Paul Hollywood, Emilia Fox, Gok Won and Martin Kemp on the Sky 1 venture but his dream guest would be sultry chef Nigella Lawson.
He revealed: "I would like to get Nigella on and Heston Blumenthal – because we look like twins. It works best when it’s someone who is known to people as quite serious that we can take the mickey out of. Deborah Meaden, who is coming up, was fun because she’s really like a headmistress."
As usual, BAFTA winner Harry is not standing still and is currently working on a musical sitcom with composer Steve Brown on a musical sitcom in a bid to reinvent the format.
Harry – who created the short-lived West End production ‘I Can’t Sing! The X Factor Musical’ with Steve – said: "We’ve only just started talking about it but I think that could be really exciting. There’s not much music on TV … But it’s quite common for a lot of cartoons to break into song, like ‘The Simpsons’ and ‘Family Guy’."
‘Harry Hill’s Tea Time’ airs on Sundays on Sky 1 at 6pm.
Harry was joined on the red carpet at the charity event – which raises money for the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home – by various celebrities such as ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Craig Revel Horwood, David Gandy, Chris Packham and Sister Sledge.
Harry happily posed with the ‘We Are Family’ hitmakers and an adorable pooch and couldn’t resist having some fun with the disco legends.
