Meat Loaf’s finished Edmonton concert for wife

Meat Loaf’s wife told him she would "kill him" if he didn’t perform his show in Edmonton where he collapsed.
The 68-year-old singer’s spouse Deborah Gillespie is from the Canadian city and to please his wife the ‘Bat Out of Hell’ hitmaker proceeded with the concert in June despite cancelling two previous concerts because he had the flu.
Whilst on stage he panicked fans when he dropped to the floor as he belted out his classic song, ‘I Will Do Anything For Love’, at the Jubilee Auditorium.
However, Meat Loaf insists it wasn’t a "big deal" and he doesn’t know what all the fuss was about because it was just "dehydration".
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, the rocker – whose real name is Michael Aday – said: "I don’t know why anyone even talked about it. It was dehydration. I had the flu I missed two shows before. My wife is from Edmonton and she said if you cancel this show I’m going to kill you.
"So I had to go on and it was nothing. It was dehydration. I woke up the next morning with people from Singapore wanting to talk to me.
"I am going, there are a lot of other things going on other than Meat Loaf falling down in Edmonton, get real folks, I’m not that important."
Since his fall he has been in extreme pain with his back and is currently recovering from having surgery on his spine after a cyst appeared, which was pinching his nerves.
Meat Loaf is currently promoting the ‘Bat Out of Hell Musical’ in the UK and attended the Q Awards on Wednesday night (02.11.16) where he was given the Hero Award.
Speaking at the event, he admitted he shouldn’t really be working as he’s supposed to be having therapy.
He said: "I have had back surgery five weeks ago yesterday I had a spinal fusion. I’m in a lot of pain.
"I had already committed to five weeks of stuff and my doctor is freaking out that I am not home in therapy."
