Prince William wants help from Facebook and Apple to prevent cyberbullying.
The future king – who launched a task force earlier this year to stop online attacks – is keen to meet with the tech companies in California to get their support.
According to the Sunday Times newspaper, William is expected to request meetings with Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Apple’s Tim Cook, along with "several other tech companies," to help the companies better confront cyber bullying.
The task force will be completed in May 2017 and recommendations will be given to the tech industry, which William reportedly wants to present to the companies.
A source added: "The task force has received lots of interest from the U.S. and the global leadership of these major companies who have expressed interest in being involved in the process. The next big push will be in the summer."
William – who has two children, Prince George, three, and 18-month-old Princess Charlotte with wife Duchess Catherine – has reportedly already asked the task force to make the internet a safer place for children and "devise methods to make it easier for children and parents to get help if they experience online trolling".
William was first inspired to launch the task force after becoming a father and he and Catherine have shown a lot of support against cyber bullying.
