Craig Revel Horwood feels sorry for Ed Balls

Craig Revel Horwood feels "a little bit sorry" for Ed Balls.
The outspoken ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge can see how much effort the former politician is putting into his routines with professional partner Katya Jones so knows it is disappointing that he keeps making mistakes during the live shows.
Craig said: "Oh Ed! I’m starting to feel a little bit sorry for him now – not that I’ll reflect that in my scoring.
"He tries so hard, but it keeps falling apart on the show. When he mistimed that lift and nearly dropped poor Katya on her head, I thought we were in for a bloodbath!
"Mistakes can happen to anyone, but it was rather unfortunate that it happened to him in front of 11 million people."
However, Craig doesn’t think Ed’s place in the competition is at risk yet.
He added: "But he’s popular with the public so I’m not too worried."
The 51-year-old choreographer is feeling underwhelmed by Louise Redknapp and Kevin Clifton, as despite their strong performances, he doesn’t think they’re taking enough risks with their routines.
He wrote in his column for Woman magazine: "Louise is very talented, but she really needs to push herself and take more risks.
"Her dances are too safe, and there’s no winning in that.
"Like anything in life, the bigger the risk you take, the bigger the reward, so she really needs to go for it to impress me."
And Craig can’t understand why hunky actor Danny Mac is so reluctant to flash the flesh in his costumes.
He said: "Danny is not too happy about getting his chest out, but if I had a body like his, I’d be wearing just a G-string!"
