Richard Jones hasn’t spent BGT winnings

Britain’s Got Talent’s Richard Jones hasn’t spent his winnings yet.
The 26-year-old magician – who won the tenth series of the ITV talent show in May 2016, after impressing the public with a series of tricks – was awarded a cash prize of £250,000 and a set to perform at the Royal Variety show in front of The Queen but he has admitted he hasn’t touched any of the money yet because he’s so busy.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I haven’t done anything with them yet, I’ve been so busy to even think about that, that was never really the thing I was after, that was just kind of a bonus that I haven’t had time to think about yet. I haven’t got anything I need or want to buy yet."
And, although he’s been thrown into the limelight, the talent show champion is adamant he’s still very much the same person he was before the show because he’s decided to stay in his occupation, in which he serves in the army.
He explained: "I’m still doing my job in the army, I’ve got the best of both worlds. With the army being really flexible and really good for letting me have time to still do stuff in the media to do shows […] I’m still busy at work as well. I always wanted to be in the army it was my dream as a kid, I’m hoping to do exactly what I’m doing."
The soldier became the first magic act to win the competition in the show’s history after he impressed judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams with his mind-boggling card tricks.
And, although the programme concluded five months ago, Richard is still very much involved in magic as he’s been performing multiple tricks to the public by making paper train tickets disappear in stations such as Manchester Piccadilly to celebrate the ‘Trainline’ mobile ticket offering. https://youtu.be/ovrSq-MoN6s.
