Freddy Parker’s X Factor voice hell

Freddy Parker walked around with a steamer attached to his face ahead of his performance on ‘The X Factor’ over the weekend.
The 18-year-old singer – who was mentored by Nicole Scherzinger – was given the boot from the competition on Sunday (16.10.16) but he has admitted he expected to be eliminated because he’s been battling with a nasty cold all week and was desperately trying to clear his airways with a hot air inhaler before the show.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Monday (17.10.16), he explained: "It was so funny, I went around with my steamer, my honey and lemon and ginger in hot water, I must’ve drunk 10 gallons of honey and lemon and water."
As well as the well-known remedies, the teenager was also put on voice rest and is convinced that shattered his chances.
He explained: "I was on voice rest, out of all the contestants, I was on voice rest the most and I did feel like it kind of had a negative impact on my experience because I just couldn’t speak to anyone. I’m such talkative person so having to hold my voice … I was so upset."
Despite being devastated about getting the axe, Freddy is "excited" for his next adventure and will continue to support his "unique" fellow competitors week-in week-out.
Taking to his Twitter account shortly after his exit, Freddy thanked his fans for supporting him and for pushing him in the competition.
He said: "Thank you so much @TheXFactor I’ve had the time of my life. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, my heart goes out to all of you (sic)"
