Coldplay and The 1975 lead the nominations for the 2016 StubHub Q Awards with four nods between them.
The ‘Hymn For The Weekend’ hitmakers and British indie group – fronted by Matt Healy – dominate the awards, which sees them go head-to-head with Coldplay’s ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ and The 1975’s ‘I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It’ in contention for Best Album.
Chris Martin’s band have also been shortlisted for Best Video for ‘Up&Up’, Best Live Act and Best Act In The World Today and the ‘Chocolate’ group are also up for Best Track for ‘Somebody Else’, Best Video for ‘A Change Of Heart’ and Best Act In The World Today.

Michael Kiwanuka make up the list of nominees for the prestigious Best Solo Artist gong.
David Bowie – who tragically died in January at the age of 69 from cancer – has also received a nomination for his final album ‘Blackstar’.
As well as Coldplay and The 1975, the late ‘Starman’ hitmaker has competition from Bastille’s ‘Wild World’ and ‘Chaleur Humaine’ by Christine and the Queens.
Irish rock legends U2 are up for Best Live Act and Best Act In The World Today.
The Best Breakthrough Act category has some strong contenders this year with the likes of Blossoms, Jack Garratt, Rat Boy, Christine and the Queens and Lady Leshurr all up for the prize.
And heavy rock titans Muse have two nods for Best Act In The World Today and Best Live Act.
