Naomi Watts wishes ex Liev Schrieber a happy birthday

Naomi Watts has wished Liev Schrieber a happy birthday.
The 48-year-old actress called time on her relationship with the ‘X Men Origins: Wolverine’ actor at the end of last month, but the pair aren’t letting their break up get in the way of their friendship.
Liev turned 49 on Tuesday (04.10.16), and Naomi took to Instagram to wish him well, posting a picture of the star with their two sons Sasha, eight, and Samuel, seven.
She captioned the picture: "Happy Birthday to this one!! @lievschreiber (sic)"
And the ‘King Kong’ star isn’t the only one keen to prove their split was amicable, as Liev also took to Instagram to wish his former partner the best on her birthday last week. When Naomi posted a picture of herself as a child in her pram, Liev was quick to take to the comments.
He commented: "Happy Birthday Sweetheart (sic)"
The couple’s split came after an 11-year-long relationship, stating they felt the "best way forward" for the two of them – and for their family – was to "separate as a couple".
A joint statement released at the time read: "Over the past few months we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple. It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship. While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy."
Meanwhile, Naomi had previously stated that she always turns to Liev for career advice, and with their friendship still on track it seems she’ll still be able to "trust his judgement".
She said: "We’re both interested in each other’s work. And we ask each other for advice, I trust his judgement and I like to think he trusts mine. I could be wrong."
