Alan Carr lands Christmas quiz show

Alan Carr will front a festive quiz show for Channel 4.
The 40-year-old comedian will host ‘The Twelve Stars of Christmas’ in the run up to December 25, which will see members of the audience win prizes if celebrities can correctly answer questions for them.
Three famous guests will feature on each show and take it in turns to choose doors from a giant advent calendar – and behind each door will be another star, who will pose a question about topical events in 2016.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It’s another big show for Alan. He is well loved at Channel 4."
The news comes a few weeks after it was revealed he has landed a new pre-watershed show, ‘Happy Hour’, for the broadcaster, despite his popular programme ‘Chatty Man’ being rested temporarily after a dip in ratings following its move to Thursday night.
A source said: "This is huge news for Alan – he’s getting a major new show. ‘Chatty Man’ isn’t being axed and could still come back, but this is a new show that everyone is excited about to set Alan up for the future.
"It’s going to be on much earlier at night to introduce him to a new audience, so there won’t be any drinking with guests.
"But there’ll be loads of other shenanigans with celebrities like crazy games. It’s a big show of faith in Channel 4 for Alan who has become one of our biggest stars."
The forthcoming show will also have live music from chart-topping artists and will allow the audience to get stuck in.
‘Happy Hour’ will hit television screens later this year.
