Eamonn Holmes looking forward to sleep

Eamonn Holmes is looking forward to getting more than three-and-a-half hours sleep a night after quitting Sky News’ ‘Sunrise’.
The 56-year-old TV presenter has called time on his anchoring of the early morning show to focus on other projects, and the ‘This Morning’ co-host is glad he no longer has to wake up at 3.30am for the programme.
He said: "Sleeping is a big part of healing. I really don’t get more than three-and-a-half, four hours sleep a night."
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ alongside his wife Ruth Langsford, who anchors the talk show, he then joked: "I’m 36 years of age."
Ruth admitted she too feels like she has been presenting the early morning show for the last 11 years because she always wakes up when Eamonn’s alarm starts ringing.
She added: "Nobody ever feels sorry for me because I hear the alarm clock, too."
The star recently underwent a hip operation and joked he was standing tall as he walked through the ‘Loose Women’ audience to take his seat because he had to hunch over after initially going under the knife.
When panellist Coleen Nolan said to Eamonn, "Can I just say how fabulous did you walk down that red carpet?", he replied: "Did I? Because I’m fully erect.
"That’s true because before the operation I would’ve been told to … shuffle a lot.
"I’m all right. I’m worse than I led on. I’m brave because of my wife. She doesn’t do suffering.
"She said she would be my nurse and she would look after me in sickness and in health. Forget that."
The star also admitted he would love to have a cook to rustle him up some meals at home if he had more cash.
He said: "If I had the money, I would have a helicopter, I would have a cook.
"I would have a cook from the point of view that you could ring a bell and have a hamburger or a club sandwich."
