Tom Hiddleston split from Taylor Swift because he was bored.
Pals close to ‘The Night Manager’ star have claimed that the actor is a "commitment-phobe who gets bored easily" and say he opted to end his romance with the ‘Shake It Off’ singer before things got too serious.
A source said: "Tom is a commitment-phobe who gets bored easily. Even his sisters affectionately chide him on his lack of relationship staying power."
However, the 26-year-old singer isn’t letting the claims bother her and is treating it all as "water under the bridge".
An insider added to The Sun newspaper: "Taylor knows what went on with Tom and won’t be affected by his team’s claims. It’s all water under the bridge as she’s concerned."
Meanwhile, it was previously claimed that Taylor ended things with the 35-year-old actor because she wasn’t happy that he wanted to make their relationship so public.
A source shared at the time: "She was the one to put the brakes on the relationship. Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with.
"Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn’t listen to her concerns when she brought them up."
The break up didn’t come as a surprise, though, as it was previously claimed that the pair’s relationship was on the rocks.
An insider shared: "Tom wants their relationship to be public, even asking Taylor to go to the Emmys with him, but Taylor wants to keep her private life private.
"Tom’s need for their relationship to be so public so quickly makes her uncomfortable. She tried to be OK with it in the beginning but fears he is in love with the idea of her and not falling in love with her for the right reasons. Taylor is an independent young woman and doesn’t feel like she needs a boyfriend to make her complete."
