Giovanna Fletcher has become an aunt.
The 31-year-old author – who has children Buzz, two, and six-month-old Buddy, with McFly guitarist Tom Fletcher – announced on Monday (05.09.16) her sister Giorgie gave birth to a little girl called Summer Rae Cawley on August 30.
Writing in her blog for HELLO! magazine, she wrote: "Firstly, I must apologise for the lack of blogs over the last few weeks. It’s been fairly busy work-wise and our cat has been poorly so there hasn’t been much fun news to report. HOWEVER, lots has happened in this last week or so which is definitely worth shouting about – the biggest news being that I am now an AUNTY. (sic)"
Giovanna has loved having her sister and new niece stay at her house and she’s already become a big hit with Giovanna’s sons, Buzz and Buddy, who like to "kiss her".
She added: "Summer Rae Cawley was born on Tuesday 30th August at 10.23am and I instantly fell in love with her, and in awe of Giorgie. Summer is so dinky and adorable. It’s been so brilliant to see my boys with her. Buzz just wants to kiss her all the time and Buddy just wants to grab her. She’s certainly got their attention and I can’t wait to see them all becoming as thick as thieves over the coming years."
Giovanna also revealed Buddy has started crawling.
She added: "Also, since I last blogged … Buddy has started crawling! It’s quite army-like at the moment, but it’s a crawl nonetheless and is helping him travel very quickly across the room. Eeeek! Having two children on the move is a completely new ball game!"
