Sheridan Smith was "sent hurtling across the stage" during her performance of ‘Funny Girl’ in London over the weekend.
The 35-year-old actress – who plays the lead Fanny Brice in the West End production – was left red-faced when her leading man Darius Campbell sent her flying across the room when he accidentally caught her dress with his foot.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The audience gasped as Sheridan was sent hurtling across the stage. She was really brave to sucker up the pain and give a stellar performance as usual. Some fans saw her hobbling as she left the theatre."
The blonde beauty usually sticks around after the performance to sign autographs and meet her fans but she decided to rush off after her fall to rest up at her home.
The onlooker told the publication: "It’s the first Saturday she has not stuck around to sign autographs."
Meanwhile, Sheridan hasn’t had the best of luck recently as she was signed off work for eight weeks due to stress.
She returned to the production at the beginning of July after spending a few weeks at country retreats with her father Colin, who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
Sheridan was also forced to cancel performances back in March when her family were told of Colin’s tragic illness.
