Louise Williams booted off The Great British Bake Off

Louise Williams has been booted off ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The 46-year-old hairdresser became the second person eliminated from the baking show after her gingerbread creation completely collapsed on Biscuit Week, which saw the wannabe bakers tasked with making a 3D gingerbread story for their Showstopper.
She said afterwards: "Biscuits aren’t my thing. I came, I tried, I’ve had a disaster, I’m accepting it and I’m going home."
Judge Mary Berry said: "Poor Louise, she had a disastrous day but full marks for carrying it off with a big smile."
Louise suffered a gingerbread nightmare as her church design fell apart before it was presented to judges Paul Hollywood and Mary.
She said: "It was my gingerbread wedding but it’s turned into an absolute disaster."
Val Stones’ creation also collapsed and she admitted afterwards she thought that would spell the end of her time on the show.
Candice Brown was awarded as Star Baker after making an incredible gingerbread pub.
Paul said: "I think Candice has done phenomenally well. She stepped so far ahead of the pack in the Showstopper there was only one winner.
"When I spoke to Mary at the end we both said at the same time, ‘Candice.’"
The bakers’ first task was to make 24 identical iced biscuits and for their technical challenge they were asked to create 12 Viennese whirls filled with butter cream and jam before they were given their Showstopper instructions.
Co-host Mel Giedroyc presented the programme on her own for the first time in six years as her partner in crime, Sue Perkins, was absent from filming the episode in April due to a family bereavement.
Introducing Biscuit Week, Mel said: "Welcome to week two in the Bake Off tent. One baker has gone, they’re not coming back. Sue’s also gone, but will be back."
