Terminator 2 for 3D release in 2017

‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day’ has been confirmed for a 3D release in 2017.
The movie was released in 1991 and features Arnold Schwarzenegger as the titular android, and while the new adaptation was supposed to drop this year, it has now been revealed the re-release will happen at some point in 2017.
A post on the official ‘Terminator 2’ Facebook page confirmed the news, stating: "August 29th 1997: The day Skynet first became self aware.
"August 29th 2016: the day you first saw the brand new poster for Terminator 2 in 3D. Coming to theatres in 2017."
The movie was due to be re-released in 3D this year to mark the 25th anniversary of the motion picture.
Director James Cameron has joined forces with DMG Entertainment and Studiocanal for the digital remastering, and he has previously talked up the forthcoming version of the classic movie.
He previously said: "Next year marks the 25th anniversary of ‘Terminator 2’ and that seemed like the perfect time to bring it back but this time in an all-new 3D version.
"If you’ve never seen it, this’ll be the version you want to see and remember."
DMG CEO Dan Mintz added "For a whole new generation of fans, it is truly a chance to see the movie that really set the bar for action and effects that all the movies today are trying to top, in a completely new way — in the theater and in 3D.
"We are committed to making the conversion the highest quality in order to live up to the expectations of the film’s many fans around the world."
