Kristen Stewart takes one outfit from every movie she makes.
The 26-year-old actress insists she has very few "fancy" outfits in her closets because most of her red carpet wear is loaned by designers but she does have space in her wardrobe for film souvenirs, her Met Gala gowns and a selection of pieces from Chanel, for whom she fronts advertising campaigns.
Asked what’s in her closet, she said: "Nothing you’d be very impressed by. I generally try to take one piece of clothing from every movie I’ve made because it feels like nobody else should have it, it’s mine.
"I have a few ball dresses that I’ve worn for the Met ?Ball in New York. But usually, if I wear something fancy, it’s been sent to me so I have to give it back afterwards.
"I do have one little section in my closet for Chanel because I model their clothes.
"The rest is just jeans and sneakers and a rack of T-shirts in many colours and iterations."
The ‘Cafe Society’ actress has an ever-changing attitude to fashion and sometimes enjoys dressing up and feeling good – but then other times, she just thinks it is "bulls**t" and can’t be bothered to make an effort.
She admitted: "I kind of love and hate fashion. I love it when it makes me feel good or inspires me or just looks beautiful, because I really appreciate beauty and the aesthetic side of life and I’m not ashamed of that.
"But then there are also definitely times when I think, ‘This is bulls**t’ and just can’t be bothered."
