Dirty South’s Las Vegas problem

Dirty South quit DJing in Las Vegas because he was sick of playing "Calvin Harris-type" music.
Although the 37-year-old DJ – whose real name is Dragan Roganović – says Calvin makes "great pop music", he admitted he became disillusioned during his Vegas residency.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I’ve done the whole Vegas thing but I think I overdid it. It’s not the place for me. Vegas is very much a party town and touristy; they expect you to play party sets.
"Calvin Harris makes great pop music but they expect you to play two hours of Calvin-type music and sometimes it gets a little soul sucking. It also stifles your creativity 100 per cent.
"Financially it was awesome, but after a while I felt like it wasn’t about money."
Meanwhile, Dirty South will be performing at Creamfields UK this weekend and insisted he has a pretty simple routine before he takes to the stage.
He said: "A nap is a necessity; I like to be fresh. I usually go to the hotel and grab a Diet Coke and some chocolate for a little energy boost. I travel on my own, so it’s hard to be really rock and roll on your own. I like my space."
The DJ also revealed that rapper Diddy often invites him to his legendary Miami bashes but he has yet to accept because he doesn’t know if he can handle it.
He said: "I keep meaning to go to Miami, one of the reasons I don’t go is that I’m worried about how broken I’ll be after it. I’ve heard stories, I need to clear my schedule and take a week off after it I think."
