Samantha Fox will re-release her 1986 single Touch Me

Samantha Fox is set to re-release ‘Touch Me’.
The 50-year-old singer songwriter has revealed she has revisited the 1986 hit track and has already re-recorded the single because the song has seen a surge in downloads since being on this year’s Channel 4 reality show ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, which saw her evicted on Tuesday (22.08.16) alongside Katie Waissel.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (25.08.16) about her plans for the future, the buxom blonde said: "I am bringing out a new album. I’m going to re-release ‘Touch Me’ because it hasn’t stopped being downloaded since I’ve been in [the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house].
"So I did the vocal yesterday. And to sing it again after 30 years. It’s 30 years old this year."
And Samantha has revealed she hopes her stint on the programme raises her profile as a musician and opens her up to a "new generation" of fans.
Speaking about the reason why she appeared on the reality TV show, she said: "By doing this show I thought that I would get more work in the country I love.
"I went in there because it was a very high profile show … and I wanted to gain a new generation of fans."
However, the former glamour model – who graced the cover of Playboy magazine in 1996 – has admitted she gave up her modelling career in the ’80s and has no plans to revisit that career path, unless she was able to feature in Playboy magazine again.
She explained: "A lot of people remember me in this country as being a Page Three girl, and I did give that up in ’86, so it was a long time ago.
"I wouldn’t do Page Three again, but I would do Playboy at 50. In a very classy way of course. I have no problems with that at all."
