Liam Gallagher signs to Warner Bros Records

Liam Gallagher has inked a deal with Warner Bros Records UK.
The 43-year-old former Oasis and Beady Eye frontman will release his solo album in 2017 under the guise of the major label.
Of the signing, he said: "Very excited to be signing to the mighty Warner Brothers; looking forward to making some super sweet sounds. Keep the faith!"
Phil Christie, President of Warner Bros Records UK, has teased that the songs the iconic rocker has put together so far are "bold" and "heartfelt" and he’s tipped his return to music to be a "strong" one, considering he is one of the UK’s "most-loved" musicians.
He added: "Liam’s one of the all-time greats – brilliant, distinctive, controversial and captivating.
"The album he’s currently recording is big, bold and heartfelt, and it feels important and culturally relevant.
"Such a strong return for one of the UK’s most-loved artists."
It comes after the ‘Morning Glory’ hitmaker insisted he isn’t embarking on a "solo career" but is very impressed with the "well tasty" tracks he’s written and is preparing to record.
He said: "We’ve demoed some songs and it’s sounding…I am not embarking on a solo ‘career’. Everyone should know that. There are just 10, 11 songs I’ve written that are eligible to be recorded. They’ve got flair, attitude, the melodies are sick and the words are f**king funny.
"We’ll record them this year and release it next year. It’ll shock people. It’s a record written by me, that’s got all the right ingredients and sounds well tasty. You won’t be scratching your chin. It’s not Pink Floyd and it ain’t Radiohead. It’s chin-out music."
Liam – who has had a break from music since the dissolution of Beady Eye in 2014 – thinks his presence has been missed in the music world because he is so much better than his peers.
He recently said: "It’s f***ing s**t. It’s boring without me, isn’t it? On my game I will roast anyone. Anyone. Whether it’s interviews, photoshoots, on record or on that f**king stage. And there are a lot of people getting away with murder on that stage from my generation."
