Melvin Odoom would be devastated to leave Strictly Come Dancing

Melvin Odoom would be "devastated" if he was the first contestant to get the boot from ‘Strictly Come Dancing.’
The 36-year-old Radio DJ can’t wait to let loose on the dance floor next month for the new series and has admitted he’d be distraught if he was kicked out before he had time to pick up the moves and show fans what he can do.
He said: "I don’t want to be the first to go out, because I think getting on the show is such a big deal and I think so many people are behind me like my friends and family and stuff like that, that I don’t want to let anyone down. So if I was to go out in the first round that would be like devastating to me."
However, being the first out of the competition isn’t the only thing that the TV presenter – who is just 5ft 3in – is worried about as he’s also concerned that the professional dancer he’s paired with will tower over him in her killer heels.
Speaking on the KISS Breakfast Show on Friday (12.08.16), he explained: "I’ve heard they’ve got new dancers this year. So to be honest as long as they’re not taller than me, then I’m good to go.
"I’ve watched the show through the years and there is not a dancer that I’ve watched and thought, ‘Oh they can’t really move properly.’ Every single dancer is on point on that show.
"So as long as I get someone who gets me and they’re patient with me because I might not pick up the moves as well as everyone else, then I’ll be happy I think."
