Cindy Crawford’s daughter is "so much more confident" than she was when she first started modelling.
The 50-year-old supermodel has praised her daughter Kaia, 14 – who she has with her husband Rande Gerber – for staying grounded and understanding just how hard work the industry can be.
She said: "You’re so much more confident than I was! I didn’t start modelling until I was nearly 17. You have a sense of what feels right for you. I don’t worry about you staying true to yourself …
"I’m excited you understand what I’ve done most of my life. I look back and appreciate it all – traveling, connecting with people through photography. You’re having fun but also learning that it’s hard work!"
And Kaia feels so similar to her mother in the way that they both act.
In a joint interview for Teen Vogue magazine, Kaia added: "I’ve watched you be nothing but kind to everyone on set, from the photographer to the caterer …
"When I look at my mom, aside from physical features (of course), we share many of the same mannerisms. I notice it when looking back on past videos of her. I don’t know if it’s genetic, or something I’ve just caught onto, but our actions mimic one another."
Meanwhile, Cindy previously revealed she is retiring from modelling as she doesn’t want to keep "proving" herself.
She said: "I’m sure I’ll have my picture taken for 10 more years, but not as a model anymore. And that’s OK. I’ve done it. I’ve worked with all these incredible photographers.
"What else do I need to do? I can’t keep reinventing myself. I shouldn’t have to keep proving myself. I don’t want to."
