Gaz Beadle offers to pay out for injured holidaymaker

Gary ‘Gaz’ Beadle has offered to donate money to a British holidaymaker who was crushed by a gas canister in Zante.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star is trying to reach out to the family of Laurie Balfour, who is fighting for her life in a hospital in Athens, after he heard a 15-stone (95.2kg) gas bottle fell on her at a nightclub earlier this month.
Taking to his Facebook account on August 10, the 28-year-old hunk wrote: "Ok so I just heard the horrible story of what has happened to Laurie Balfour in Zante!! And it’s so sad she is currently in hospital in Athens in a coma I know some of her family have flew out to see her but are struggling with funds etc to stay out there…
"Please SHARE this or tag anyone who u know in there family or friends!!! I’ll do anything to help and tell the Mam and dad I’ll cover there hotel aslong as they need to stay with her… Share it please want to get this sorted asap thank you, Gaz xx (sic)."
Laurie, 25, was airlifted to an Athens hospital in an army jet on August 3 after the hefty canister fell on her head, just minutes after she arrived at the club on the Laganas party strip.
Doctors have performed life-saving surgery, which involved removing a chunk of her skull to release the intense pressure on her brain, on the woman and – at the time of writing – she is currently in a coma.
Laurie – from Doncaster – will remain at that hospital in Athens until she’s woken from the coma and shown significant signs of recovery.
Laurie was joined on the trip by her friends Claire Tomlinson, Amy Renton, Billie Taylor and Lauren Brown.
Miss Brown told The Sun newspaper: "Claire turned round and saw what had happened to Laurie and said there was so much blood there that it looked like a murder scene. Her eye immediately swelled, blood was pouring out of her broken nose as she lay there."
