Azealia Banks quits social media

Azealia Banks has quit social media.
The 24-year-old rapper took to Facebook on Monday (01.08.16) and announced she has decided to stop sharing her thoughts online because she doesn’t want her "legacy to die on the internet".
The ‘212’ hitmaker – who was banned from Twitter following a racist and homophobic rant directed at Zayn Malik earlier this year – wrote: "I’m seriously tired of peoples feelings. I’m tired of seeing their overly sensitive reactions and responses to everything. I’m tired of having everything I say or do be monitored and I’m tired of being told how I should be behaving.
I’m quitting Facebook, and any other form of social media that allows me to engage with people.
My legacy can’t live and die on the Internet.
Goodbye.
For good. (sic)"
The ‘Big Big Beat’ star had her Twitter account suspended and was dropped from appearing at a London festival after she launched a vile racist and homophobic rant on former One Direction star Zayn Malik and felt she was being "shoved into a corner and punished" for her actions.
She previously wrote: "I feel really sad and uninspired. I’m having trouble mustering up enough smiles and enthusiasm to finish ‘Fantasea 2’.
"I feel deeply misunderstood. I feel cheated, I feel stolen from. I feel though as I’ve made and am making such huge contributions to the times, as far as music and the national conversation go, only to be shoved into a corner and punished while I watch my ideas and insight get paraphrased and repackaged by everyone."
The ‘Cruel’ hitmaker is not the only celebrity to be subjected to Azealia’s acid tongue.
She previously launched a Twitter tirade on fellow rapper Iggy Azalea, after the Australian beauty criticised Beyoncé for supposedly poking fun at "stereotypical white names" like Becky on her new album ‘Lemonade’.
In response to Iggy’s claim, the New York-born star said: "YOU CALLED YOURSELF A RUNAWAY SLAVE MASTER, YOU SILLY WHITE B***H. STAY OUT OF GROWN FOLKS BUSINESS.
"Igloo is the f**king dumbest most condescending white b***h on the face of the earth. She honestly is just so f***ing dumb and delusional.
"Who asked her white ass to say anything? You are not invited to this conversation Rebecca. (sic)"
And most recently Azealia accused Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga of stealing her ideas.
She claimed the ‘Bad Blood’ hitmaker and ‘Pokerface’ singer "lifted" her creative ideas and used them in their own music and videos.
