James Martin has had a secret girlfriend for five years.
The 44-year-old chef – who previously romanced James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli for four years until 2005 – revealed last week he is "happily dating" but it has now emerged he has been in a relationship with PA Louise Davies since 2011 and they even live together and have a pet dog named Ralph.
A source told The Sun Online: "James desperately wants to keep his private life out of the spotlight and under wraps following his romance with Barbara.
"It’s easy to do with Louise as she likes things low-key as well, unlike Barbara who loved making a fuss over him."
The former ‘Saturday Kitchen’ host first met Louise on the set of ‘Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ and their relationship has never been hidden from friends.
The source added: "Louise goes absolutely everywhere with him – they just don’t make a big song and dance about it. She knows all his friends really well and regularly visited him on The Saturday Kitchen set and was on set for his ASDA commercials – so all his colleagues get on great with her too.
"She’s particularly good friends with his best mate Chris Evans’ wife Natasha."
And the couple have a number of shared interests which means they spend a lot of spare time together.
The source explained: "Louise really is a girl after James’ heart. They bonded over their love of cars and just last weekend were spotted looking loved-up at Car Fest on Saturday and at the Yorkshire Food Festival on Sunday.
"They are also obsessed with their pet dog Ralph – who they both dote over and regularly post pictures of on social media.
"James seems really happy with Louise and the fact he’s talking about it again may mean he’s ready to get rid of his bachelor title once and for all."
