Prince Harry planning new Diana memorial?

Britain’s Prince Harry is planning a new memorial monument for his late mother.
Although there is a fountain for Princess Diana – who died in a car accident in 1997 – in London’s Hyde Park, Harry is reportedly hoping to erect a new structure in the capital to mark her 20th anniversary next year.
According to the Daily Mail: "By the time of the 20th anniversary of her death in August 2017, he wants a new memorial in place.
"What he has in mind is something permanent and significantly different from any existing monument, and likely to be in London."
Harry, 31, recently admitted that it took him a long time before he could speak about his mother’s death and he wishes he had opened up sooner and friends say Harry is determined that she should not be forgotten.
A source explained: "He knows that with his military career over, the only thing left for him is what his mother did – charitable causes.
"As to why he should be bringing up his mother’s name, I suspect it is because he has a bit of a guilt complex about how she has been remembered.
"Like his mother, he has an emotional intelligence, is tactile, too, and, like her, connects easily with people.
"He is not afraid to show his humanity. Shining a light onto forgotten children around the world seems a very natural thing for him to do.’
Meanwhile Diana’s brother Charles Spencer recently revealed he is working on a memorial to her at his Althorp estate.
Diana is buried on a small island on the grounds of the 50-acre estate and although the grave was previously left unmarked, he is planning a physical memorial as part of a revamp of the grounds, which will be completed by her anniversary next August.
Charles, who is the Ninth Earl Spencer, said: "Before, we left the grave unmarked because the family knew where it was. But now we’re going to have a memorial to Diana."
He is also having forget-me-nots and rhododendrons planted on the island for his sister.
