Chelsee Healey to play ‘gobby’ McQueen in Hollyoaks

Chelsee Healey is set to play "tough, gobby and absolutely shameless" Goldie McQueen in ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 27-year-old actress has joined the Channel 4 soap as a distant member of the mouthy family and is set to wreak havoc in Chester when she goes to extreme lengths to make cash, but her arrival doesn’t sit well with her relatives.
A spokesperson for the show told the RadioTimes.com: "Tough, gobby and absolutely shameless, Goldie will never back down in a fight and she’s always game for a good old-fashioned McQueen scam to make some fast cash.
"Goldie’s come to ‘Hollyoaks’ in the hope of mooching off the family she’s scarcely had anything to do with."
However, Goldie won’t rock up alone as she’s also got her twin sons, whom she had when she was a teen, in tow.
The spokesperson explained: "But one thing she cares more about than making easy money is her twins, Prince and Hunter, who she had in her teens. She’d go to the ends of the earth for her lads and will defend them like a lioness."
Meanwhile, Chelsee is "thrilled" she’s landed a role in the show but has admitted she was shocked when she was told she was going to portray a young mother.
She said: "I am absolutely thrilled to join ‘Hollyoaks’. I’ve grown up watching it so to be in it is unbelievable. It was an irresistible opportunity, especially to play this character. I can’t believe I am playing a mum but the boys are so fantastic to work with and we are all delighted by our new family unit."
Chelsee will be seen on-screen in the autumn.
