Sigourney Weaver hopeful for fifth Alien movie

Sigourney Weaver is working on a new ‘Alien’ movie.
The 66-year-old actress starred as Ellen Ripley in the 1979 sci-fi horror movie and its three sequels and she is hopeful of reprising her role once more.
She has been discussing a fifth film with director Neill Blomkamp after working together again on 2015 film ‘Chappie’.
She told an audience at Comic-Con International in San Diego: "Four months later, I got a script that was so amazing and gives the fans everything they are looking for – plus innovates in a lot of ways.
"(Blomkamp) has work to do, and I have work to do. I am hoping when we finish those jobs, we will circle back and start to do it.
She last portrayed Ripley in the 1997 film ‘Alien Resurrection’, the fourth movie in the series that ended with a clone of Ellen arriving on Earth.
However, she told the audience that she had no interest in an Alien film set on Earth because she thought "Earth was boring".
It was recently revealed Sigourney will receive the 2016 Donostia Award at the 64th San Sebastian Festival.
The mother-of-one – who has recently been seen and heard in a couple of high-profile cameos in ‘Ghostbusters’ and ‘Finding Dory’ – will accept the prestigious prize for her career achievements when the event takes place between September 18 and September 26 at the Basque resort city.
A statement released read: "The festival’s most important honorary award acknowledges the career of the North American actress whose name has presided over some of the biggest productions in the last few decades, under the direction of movie makers such as Sir Ridley Scott, Peter Weir, James Cameron, Mike Nichols, Roman Polanski, Ang Lee and David Fincher."
