Cindy Crawford is Kendall Jenner’s "idol".
The 20-year-old supermodel – who photographed the 50-year-old fashion icon’s daughter Kaia Gerber for the latest issue of LOVE magazine – found the shoot a surreal experience because she has always admired the 14-year-old’s mother and couldn’t comprehend she was working with her fashion icons child.
Speaking to Love magazine about the recent partnership, the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star said: "This was so cool for me because it really does come full circle: her mom was my idol; I’m shooting my idol’s daughter."
Kendall has revealed she has become a fan of Cindy’s brood since the pair collaborated with one another.
She explained: "I picked Kaia because I think she’s amazing and beautiful. I’ve gotten to know her a bit and she really is such a great young girl with such a good head on her shoulders. I think she has a very bright future. And for me to be able to say in the future ‘I shot the young Kaia Gerber’ will be so cool!’
"You could say I’m a fan of hers, and I would love to see her succeed."
And Kaia has confessed she enjoyed working with the television personality-come-catwalk icon because she looks up to the Estée Lauder ambassador.
She said: "Working with Kendall was effortless, it just felt like two friends hanging out. Kendall told me that my mom is one of the people she looks up to most, and it’s cool to see it come full circle because Kendall is a role model for me."
Meanwhile, the mother-of-two – who also has 17-year-old son Presley with her ex-husband Rande Gerber – has put her hands up to being a fan of Kendall, and is jealous of current models who have social media platforms to boost their profiles.
Speaking previously, she said: "They can be their own publicists. They can present themselves the way that they want to be presented."
