Dolly Parton wants to collaborate with Jack White

Dolly Parton has hinted she will collaborate with Jack White in the future.
The 70-year-old country music legend met with The White Stripes frontman – who covered her classic hit ‘Jolene’ in 2004 – in Los Angeles recently and she’s revealed the pair discussed getting into the studio together when their busy schedules align.
She said: "I love him [Jack] to death. The White Stripes did one of the greatest versions ever of ‘Jolene’. I had a chance to have dinner with Jack in LA not long ago and we talked about the possibility of one someday down the road that we may get together to do something."
However, the buxom blonde admits she’s not had enough time to work with other artists because she’s been so busy readying her new album ‘Pure and Simple’, which she is currently touring around the world.
However, she teased that she and the 41-year-old rocker would make "beautiful music" when they do decide to work together.
She added: "I haven’t had time to sit down and really focus with someone else on an album. But he would be someone wonderful. And I think we would make some beautiful music together."
Meanwhile, the ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker – who has a huge fan base amongst the LGBT community – has admitted she’s had to put off doing a gay-centric dance album – for now.
She told Britain’s Guardian newspaper: "Every time I start to work on that, something else comes up, like this big tour. "I’ll have to put that dance album on the shelf again. But one day I promise you I will get that out. One of the songs is I’m a Wee Bit Gay. It’s a fun, tongue-in-cheek type of song. I promise I’ll get it out."
Dolly also admitted that she doesn’t understand why the LGBT community look up to her as role model, however, she thinks has something to do with the fact she has "fought" to be herself.
She added: "I don’t really know why for sure … I’ve fought for the right to be myself, so that is one of the reasons that the gays and lesbians relate to me. They know that I appreciate everybody for who they are. We are who we are, so why can’t we be allowed to be that?
"I ain’t out to preach no sermons, I’m just out to do my work, sing my songs and write them, and love people and share them."
