Wiz Khalifa’s divorce has taught him ‘a lot’

Wiz Khalifa’s divorce has taught him "a lot".
The 28-year-old ‘Black and Yellow’ hitmaker – whose marriage with Amber Rose was called off after one year in 2014 – has admitted the divorce has "helped him a lot", and although it was "super hard" for him he has become a better person.
Speaking to Playboy magazine about his marriage, the father-of-one – who has three-year-old son Sebastian Taylor Thomaz with the model – said: "I feel like not being in that relationship helped me out a lot. I learned how to be present where I need to be present. I’d been present in the relationship, but at that age and with what was going on, it just wasn’t right for me.
"It helps to walk away sometimes, even though it was super hard"
And the rapper has admitted he now has a better relationship with Amber.
He explained: "It’s kind of weird, because it’s like … we’re almost better divorced."
However, the divorce troubled Wiz and he has revealed the impact of his and Amber’s separation on their child and his powerlessness in the situation was what hurt him the most.
He said: "I was sad after but I wasn’t depressed. I’ve never really been depressed in my life.
"I was sad because we were going through a lot and my son was involved, and that hurt me because my main goal is to raise my son how I want. I’m a control freak, and not being able to control that was weird. I didn’t know how to deal with it and didn’t understand that feeling.
"A year later, I’m way smarter and better equipped to deal with it."
And Wiz – whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz – has no plans to tie the knot again for a few more decades.
He quipped: "I think I will [marry again], but it will be later … I feel like I’ll probably get married again when I’m in my fifties."
