Adele reveals why she didn’t make a Skyfall video

Adele didn’t make a video for ‘Skyfall’ because she doesn’t "look like Halle Berry".
The London-born singer, who won an Oscar for her Bond theme tune, has claimed she declined the chance to appear in the song’s video because she doesn’t consider herself to be as attractive as the Hollywood actress, who starred in ‘Die Another Day’.
She said: "I didn’t want a video [for the song] because I was nine months pregnant and I was about to drop.
"And I don’t look like Halle Berry. You don’t want to do a video for a Bond song if you don’t look like Halle Berry."
A video for the award-winning song was made, but it only features clips from the acclaimed movie.
Earlier this year, meanwhile, it was reported that Adele is on the cusp of signing a record-breaking new recording contract worth £90 million.
The ‘Hello’ hitmaker is believed to have been offered the staggering sum of money by Sony, who will release her music worldwide.
The proposed deal would see the pop superstar top Robbie Williams’ contract, who previously held the biggest deal after he was given £80 million by EMI Records in 2002 and Whitney Houston, who in 2001 was given £70 million.
An insider at Sony previously revealed: "We have secured the biggest music star in a generation. This is massive.
"Adele’s deal with her original label XL expired and we’d an existing relationship with her in America.
"The deal is being worked on by our Columbia label in the US, but is worth £90 million and gives Sony the rights to release her future music exclusively around the world."
