Gabrielle: Adele is a role model

Gabrielle has praised Glastonbury headliner Adele because she "doesn’t take her clothes off".
The 46-year-old star was chuffed when the ‘Hello’ hitmaker admitted she was a huge fan of hers and had a "fan-girl" moment when she met the fellow singer-songwriter.
Speaking at Caudwell Children’s Butterfly Ball at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, she said: "Secretly I am so happy about that! I totally love her. For me, there’s a load of female singers but the two that I totally love are Amy and Adele. When you look at these women, these most amazing women with talent beyond their years; yes you’ve got people like Beyonce and they work and she’s incredible but someone like Adele, she never takes her clothes off.
"So for someone like me she’s inspiring because she’s a woman that’s all about the singing, you won’t catch her in the bath – not that I’m knocking all the other women, if anyone here thinks I sound like I’m hating – yes I’m hating because I’m a fat bird and I ain’t got a figure like that so yeah good luck to the women who have it!
"But for women like me who have to look to our role models who don’t take their clothes off and allow me to feel more myself. The fact that came from Adele and she’s a big, huge star, I love her and she’s so down to earth. I feel honoured that she even knows my name so I’ve got to be honest I love her. Tell her I say hello."
And we can expect to see a lot more from the ‘Out of Reach’ hitmaker when she kicks off her new tour in October and releases a new album shortly after.
She added: "Music wise I’ve been writing at the moment and basically it’s kind of scary because I am working towards a new album but I’m notoriously known for taking a long time so I’ve got my manager in the background saying, you know, gotta keep it moving.
"So at the moment I’m going on tour at the end of October, I’m doing shows in between that and the aim is to go on tour and showcase a couple of new songs and drop an album later after that so it’s just one of those things, it’s all a work in progress but I’m taking my time but having fun at the same time."
