Prince William mocks Duchess Catherine’s cooking skills

Prince William has joked he’s "so skinny" because his wife Duchess Catherine can’t cook.
The 34-year-old royal poked fun at the brunette beauty’s lack of culinary experience as they chatted away to five Michelin-star chefs at a charity gala, held in honour of the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), at Houghton Hall in Norfolk on Wednesday night (22.06.16).
Explaining that William is probably looking forward to their five-course meal at the dinner, Catherine, according to the Express newspaper, told the culinary geniuses beforehand: "William has to put up with my cooking most of the time."
But before she had time to finish her sentence, William reportedly chimed in: "It’s the reason I’m so skinny!"
The couple – who have two children Prince George, two, and Princess Charlotte, 13 months, together – were invited to the gala by their friend David Cholmondeley and his wife Sarah.
The pair, who were dressed to impress, were treated to a tasty five-course meal consisting of Squid ink cracker with Morston smoked salmon, scallop ceviche, wild sea bass, loin of Houghton venison with summer beetroot puree and Norfolk raspberries, strawberries, cider and blueberry coulis.
They then enjoyed a performance from the Treehouse Choir before mingling with guests and sipping on champagne.
Emma Deterding, event organiser and EACH patron, said previously: "I have seen at first-hand how incredible and important the development of the children’s hospice movement is since its beginnings in the 1980s. I continue to be amazed by how hard EACH works to ensure that hundreds of children with life-threatening conditions and their families in East Anglia get the best care possible."
