Indiana Jones will continue after fifth film

Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger has announced plans to make more ‘Indiana Jones’ movies.
A fifth film in the franchise starring Harrison Ford as the titular archaeologist is already in development and the 65-year-old chairman insists there will be more adventures for the whip-wielding character, with or without Ford.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Iger revealed: "Right now, we’re focused on a reboot, or a continuum and then a reboot of some sort."
Iger confirmed that Ford, 73, will definitely be reprising the role for the next movie – which is scheduled for a 2019 release with Steven Spielberg on board to direct – and will carry on from 2008 film ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’.
He said: "We [got] Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in the film. But then what’s the direction? I’ve had discussions about what the direction is, [but] I don’t want to get into it."
Although Iger doesn’t expect the ‘Indiana Jones’ franchise to ever be as big as ‘Star Wars’ – which Disney bought the rights to and has brought back with ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ which starred Ford as Han Solo once again – he sees a bright future for the iconic Hollywood character.
He said: "Yes, I do [see making more films] I don’t think it reaches the scale of the universe of ‘Star Wars’, but I see making more. It won’t be just a one-off."
